Kevin Gallagher
The November Knight of the Month is a familiar name to Brother Knights. Kevin Gallagher has been a member for
more than 30 years, and is the area Insurance Representative for the Knights of Columbus. In fact,
Grand Knight Randy Balausky said Gallagher often went above and beyond the call of duty, and is “very well-liked
and appreciated in the council.” Not bad for someone who jokingly calls himself “Mister Coffee”
because of his carafe duty at the KC Breakfasts.
It’s not that you just see Kevin at the benefit breakfasts.
He has also been active in Smokin’ in Steele and the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign. Kevin says the good
work of the Knights is fun because it gives him a chance to interact with everyone who comes to the event. But
it’s more than just the fun. It’s about paying it forward. Kevin said he “joined because it’s always been to give back to Church and
community.”
Gallagher is an Owatonna native who graduated from Marian High School and St.
John’s University.
He and his wife Marie are members of St. Joseph’s. They have three grown children –
and that’s where he spends the majority of his free time. Kevin says he truly enjoys
spending time with his children and seven grandchildren. When he’s not with his
family, volunteering for the KC’s, or working, he says he enjoys hunting, fishing, and
travelling.
Congratulations to the November Knight of the Month – Kevin Gallagher!
