The Council 945 KC Chorus performed at the 2009 Steele County Free Fair opening ceremony and at the Village of Yesteryear.
The original Council 945 Chorus was active in the 1930's.
The current KC Chorus was organized in 2001. Initially, the KC Chorus sang
religious music and participated in Corporate Communion Masses and
the KC Memorial Mass. Over the years, their repertoire has expanded to
include a wide range of folk and patriotic music.
The KC Chorus represents Council 945 at a wide range of Council, Church,
and community events. They sing at many Council activities. They are a
favorite at the Steele County Free Fair, and at the Village of Yesteryear.
They sing at nursing homes at Christmas and throughout the year.
Their performances include the National Anthem for the Minnesota Twins game
at KC Dome Day and entertainment at the Catholic Daughter's National Convention in
Minneapolis.
All KC members are invited to join the KC Chorus.
Practice is held every other Saturday morning in the
Choir room at St. Joseph Church.
