Council 945’s Knight of the Month for March is John Connor. The announcement was made at the regular April Council meeting by Grand Knight Al Nelson.

John, a native of St. Peter, Minnesota, joined the KCs on March 17, 1991. When asked about his favorite KC project, he was quick to mention participating in the Deceased Members’ Memorial Mass. He went on to add that he likes helping with the annual Tootsie Roll drive too. He and his wife Lori will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in August.

The Connors are members of St. Joseph’s Parish and they have two children: Katie lives in Osseo and is a social worker with Sherburne County, while Adam lives in Tracy and is a deputy sheriff with Lyon County. Both of them are engaged to be married. John serves as a lector at St. Joseph’s and both he and Lori are Perpetual Adoration hour coordinators. Lori also served on the Parish Council and is a first grade teacher at St. Mary’s School.

John graduated from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota where he majored in speech with emphasis on radio and television. He also did course work at St. Cloud State University. He is presently employed by KRFO Radio where he is the General Sales Manager. He has worked for KRFO for 29 years. When asked about his leisure time activities, he said he likes pretty much all sports, but in particular baseball, football, and basketball. He enjoys listening to the games and also participates on the KC volleyball team, which is sponsored by the Columbian Center.
